A POLITICIAN has asked cyclists to name the borough's accident hotspots after figures showed nearly 100 were injured on roads last year.

Joanne McCartney, London Assembly Member for Enfield and Haringey, said she wanted to know where road users thought the most dangerous junctions and roundabouts were.

The move comes after Transport for London figures showed that 96 cyclists were injured on the borough's roads last year, while 212 pedestrians were hurt – a four per cent rise from 2009.

Ms McCartney labelled the rise “worrying” after a spate of cyclist deaths in central London and at the start of national Road Safety Week.
