National Express East Anglia announces increased capacity for Enfield to central London trains

MORNING train services through Enfield and Haringey will be doubled in capacity at peak times, it has been announced.

National Express East Anglia has promised 5,500 more seats for passengers travelling from Enfield Town into central London on rush hour services.

Among the changes, due to start on Sunday, December 11, is trains from Bush Hill Park and Enfield Town will have eight carriages instead of four at peak evening and morning times.

There will be more and longer trains along the line serving Edmonton Green, Seven Sisters, Silver Street, White Hart Lane, Bruce Grove, Turkey Street and Southbury.

The firm added that some fast services from Hertford East into Liverpool Street will also stop at Edmonton Green and Seven Sisters.

Full details of the changes, part of a £185m upgrade of services, are available at www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/dec11.

Britains rail companies have got alot to answer for. These extra carriages will 'cost' commuters a large increase in fares next year and still trains will be cancelled 'due to no driver available'.
