A SHAKE-UP of Sergeants at Haringey's Safer Neighbourhood teams have been finalised.

Details have been released of how the 19 local teams will be governed in the wake of five Sergeant posts being axed.

Sgt Adam Llewlyn is moving from Alexandra ward to Harringay, taking over from Sgt Jono Clay-Michael who will now be in charge of the St Ann's and Seven Sisters teams.

Sgt Llewlyn's duties in Alexandra will be taken over by Sgt Dave Williams, who will also remain in charge of Fortis Green.

Sgt John McGrath, who leads Crouch End Safer Neighbourhood Team, will also take on responsibility for Highgate, and Sgt Steve Whiting from Stroud Green will similarly take on extra duties in charge of Hornsey.

And Sgt Paul Minihane will now be in charge of both Woodside and Bounds Green teams.

The changes come into effect on Monday, and come after a Met-wide review local policing ordered a cut of 150 sergeant posts.

Forces across London have been making the cuts, like Haringey, by bringing two teams under the charge of one senior officer.

Of the posts axed in Haringey, two were already vacant and will not be filled, and the other three officers have moved to a new job within the Met.
