POLICE hunting two men, who attacked a darts fan at Alexandra Palace Station leaving him with a fractured eye socket, are appealing for witnesses.
The 20-year-old victim had earlier watched the World Darts Championship at Ally Pally on December 23 and was with a friend waiting for a train to Welwyn Garden City at around 11.30pm.
A group of men started speaking to them before two of them punched the victim to the floor and kicked him in the head repeatedly.
After the group fled, the man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital for treatment on a fractured eye socket, two black eyes and a swollen nose.
Detective Constable Stephen McBride, of British Transport Police, called the attack “brutal”, and appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact officers.
