Detectives returned to Turnpike Lane Tube station a week after the fatal shooting to appeal for witnesses.
The police officers returned to Langham Road between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday to speak to people who may have seen the attack.
The man, who was shot while in his car behind the tube station, has been named as 32-year-old Ali Armagan, a Turkish national from Hackney.
Detective superintendent, Sandra Looby, Haringey borough commander, said: "There are people out there who have guns.
“They used a weapon at half three last Wednesday when school children were around and lots of other people. That's unacceptable. We need to find who is responsible for this.”
She said the shooting has had a significant impact on a number of communities, especially the Turkish and Kurdish communities around Green Lanes.
No arrests have been made.
