A Cabinet minister will spend this morning visiting traders in Tottenham recovering from last August’s riots.
Communities and Local Government Secretary Eric Pickles will take a tour of the High Road with Haringey councillors, visiting the site of the destroyed Carpet Right building and the new Bruce Grove Post Office.
Mr Pickles will also meet council workers and community leaders who were involved in the clean-up operation after the violence on August 6.
The tour follows a visit by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall last Thursday, when they also met with traders and spoke to some of the families made homeless by the riots.
