Alexandra Palace election vote counting behind schedule

Vote counting at Alexandra Palace is running behind schedule following an earlier power failure.

The Haringey venue, where counting was due to start at 8am, suffered a 16 minute power failure from 7.58am until 8.08am.

Following the power cut the electronic counting machines each had to be re-booted.

Two are now up and running but the other two are still being reset.

Organisers are hoping that the count will be back on schedule by about 1pm as they made the most of the down time by doing tasks that would normally be done later in the day, such as organising ballot papers.

Votes from yesterday’s election for London Mayor and London Assembly members are being counted at Alexandra Palace and the results are expected later today.

Coleman is praying for another power cut.He is trailing Andrew Dismore by a country mile.

Keep it up Brian - we will get you off the council as well as out of the GLA, and sooner than you think!
Your contempt for the people who were misled into allowing you to represent them is unbelievable!
I am not a natural Labour Party supporter but on this occasion I was adamant that you should not succeed and voted for Dismore. I am sure that your scandalous behaviour has persuaded many others to cast their votes similarly.

Conservative Central Office and our recently elected new Conservative MP’s take NOTE! And please take ACTION!

Dismore please note that you won because so many people want Coleman out of politics and you were a means to an end. Your performance will be closely, and critically watched and your future as an MP is certainly not assured!
