Tottenham choir beat downpours on Sunday
A Tottenham choir beat the downpours in a community concert on Sunday.
The concert, called Summer on the Green, saw The New Tottenham Singers perform renditions of Fly Me to the Moon, Saving All My Love for You and Bohemian Rhapsody for crowds at Tottenham Green East Park.
Choir member Nurcan Culleton said: “We were very lucky with the weather, having had such terrible rain on both Saturday and then again on Monday.
“Fortunately we managed to dodge any downpours; never mind singing for our supper - we were singing for our summer on Sunday.”
The group comprises 60 people aged seven to 75, most of which live in the borough.
