Applications open for new Tottenham market

People are being given the chance to run their own stall at a new community market for Tottenham.

Haringey Council will be hosting the first Medley Market as a trial on Tottenham East Green, in High Road, on Saturday September 29.

The new market is part of the council’s pledge to host activities in Tottenham and make better use of public space in the area.

Those interested in holding a stall at the market must apply by September 7 and there is no charge for pitches.

However people will have to apply for a street trader’s licence, for which there may be a fee.

Stallholders will be told from September 10 onwards if they have been successful in their application and the council will offer advice about getting a street trader’s licence.

Those interested in applying for a pitch at the market can download a form from the Haringey Council website.
