A father living near a train station is angry at constantly being woken up through the night by a platform alarm.

A security alarm has been going off at random times of the night in Harringay Green Lanes Overground Station waking people living nearby.

James Greaves, who lives in a flat, in Grand Parade, near the station with his partner and nine-month-old son, says the alarms have been going off at in the night for about lasting 15 minutes for over a year now.

When he discovered the alarm was coming from the station he talked to the station manager about the issue but nothing has been done to stop it going off.

The actor and writer, who has lived in the flat for five years, said: ““It’s very annoying and I feel I’ve been ignored.

“It’s driving us crazy and we aren’t getting any sleep at all. I appreciate we live in London and there is always noise, but this can be stopped.

“It’s causing a lot of disruption to all three of us and we just want it sorted no one has done anything about it.”

“It stated about a year ago and just out of nowhere the alarm came on. For a while we just put a pillow over our heads and tried to ignore it.

“There’s no pattern to it really. It just goes off at random times. For a while, a few months back, we thought it had stopped, but it’s just come back again and it’s very annoying.”

After a call from the Haringey Independent, a spokeswoman for Transport for London said the issues should now be resolved and they would like to thank Mr Greaves for bringing it to their attention.
