Water company hopes High Road, Tottenham, will be reopened today

Work being carried out on broken pipe in High Road
A water company hopes to open at least one side of the High Road today as they carry out emergency repairs to a burst water main.
Workers from Thames Water are at the scene in High Road, Tottenham, between Seven Sisters Road and St Ann's Road where a 15 inch-wide pipe which burst at 4am today.
A spokesman for Thames Water said: “"We have turned off water in the broken pipe and the water that flooded the carriageway has drained away.
“We're hoping to get at least one side of the dual carriageway open at some point today while we get the broken section of pipe replaced. We're really sorry for the disruption this is causing."
The High Road is closed in both directions and traffic is being diverted down Seven Sisters Road with heavy congestion on the A503 Broad Lane to Tottenham Hale Gyratory.
Bus routes 76, 149, 243, 318, 349, 476 and N73 all also on diversion.
