Thousands soak up the sun at Muswell Hill Festival
The sun shone brightly as thousands of people attended Muswell Hill Festival yesterday.
The festival, which is in its eighth year, was held at Cherry Tree Wood, East Finchley, in aid of the London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy (LCCCP).
Approximately 4,000 people turned up to the event where there was an array of stalls as well as a miniature steam train ride, donkey rides, a dog show and a ‘monster’ vegetable competition.
The Crouch End Players are also put on a production of Hansel and Gretel and bands and musicians took to the stage in the first Muswell Hill’s Got Talent competition.
Daisy Mathebula, LCCCP corporate and events fundraiser, said: “The weather was really on our side yesterday. The atmosphere was electric, music was playing, people were dancing and everyone was having a good time.
“The money we will get from this event is crucial. It will go to anything from special equipment for the children, such as ladders to help them walk, or for their educational needs.”
