Former student Renault James said the course gave him the skills and confidence to open up his own barber shop
The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London is growing its services and offering new barbering courses to students.
The college is one of few places in the country to offer a top grade barbering course for students and high demand has led the institution to run more courses in levels one to three.
Level three graduates will be counted as some of the top professionals and enable them to work in salons that can charge £60 for a cut and wet shave.
Vice principal Jane O’Neill said there is a skills shortage of barbers who are trained at level three and the high demand for top professionals encouraged the college to expand.
Former student Renault James (pictured) said the course gave him the skills and confidence to open up his own barber shop.
Enrolment runs until Friday, September 28. For more information, visit www.conel.ac.uk/barbering.
