Man stabbed in "unprovoked" attack in Tottenham

A 59-year-old man was stabbed in Tottenham in an "unprovoked" attack.

The man was attacked in the early hours of Saturday morning and police were called to the scene in Roslyn Road just before 1.45am.

The man had received multiple stab wounds and was taken by ambulance to hospital in a serious condition. He has since been released.

Det Con Matthew Lever said "This was a completely unprovoked attack on a man coming back from a night socialising. Random attacks on the public of this nature are thankfully a rare occurrence.”

Police would like to talk to two young men who were seen leaving the scene in the direction of Braemar Road straight after the incident.

Officers are calling for anyone with any information to get in contact.
