Students at a Tottenham school received a lesson in respect and discipline from a martial arts expert yesterday.
Pupils at Haringey College, in White Hart Lane, were visited by mixed martial artist Jimi Manuwa.
Mr Manuwa, 32, spoke to the students, who live in an area badly affected by last summer’s riots, about fulfilling their potential and about staying out of trouble.
He competes across the world in martial arts including muay thai and Brazilian ju-jitsu and is trained to display discipline and respect towards his opponents.
Mr Manuwa also works with youths to get them off the streets and learn mixed martial arts with him at his gym.
