A West Green school is inviting its pupils, parents, teachers and local peopel to attend a fundraising coffee morning today.

Wisdom School, in Philip Lane, is getting involved in World’s Biggest Coffee Morning which is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest annual fundraising event.

The school’s event will take place from 10.30am until 1pm in the school buildings.

It is hoping to raise more than £1,000.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning takes place each September and sees the charity encouraging people across the UK to hold a coffee morning to raise money.

In 2011 51,000 people and organisations signed up and raised more than £11 million.

The money raised is used to help support people living with cancer.
