10:37am Wednesday 26th September 2012 in News By Emma Innes
An arts charity will be screening films by up and coming filmmakers in Wood Green this weekend.
Wise Thoughts will showcase a range of short films that reflect the diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex community.
The free screenings will take place at Bruce Castle Museum, in Lordship Lane, on Saturday.
The first will take place from 1.30pm until 3pm and will feature Homecoming, by Mike Buonaiuto, Beloved, by Daniel Zinkant and I Shot My Love, by Tomar Heymann.
The second screening will take place from 3pm until 5pm and will feature Expectations, by Harrison Marsh, Rites of Passage, by Jeff Roy, and Children of Shrikandi by The Children of Srinkandi Collective.
The screenings are part of Project Tottenham which is a scheme delivered by Film London to encourage the development of cultural cinema activity in Tottenham.
It is funded by the Mayor of London and Haringey Council and aims to strengthen the capacity of organisations to deliver screening activity in the future.
