Haringey Trades Union Council to march in protest at government policy
4:00pm Wednesday 26th September 2012 in News By Emma Innes
Haringey Trades Union Council is organising a rally in protest at the government’s economic policy.
The local wing of the TUC is holding the rally at 7.30pm on Monday outside St John Vianney Church Hall in West Green Road, West Green.
The aim of the rally is to organise a big local turnout for the March for a Future that Works protest which is taking place in central London on October 20.
During Monday’s rally there will be talks by anti-cuts activists and the local trade union.
March for a Future that Works is being organised by people who claim that the government’s policy of austerity is not working.
It is calling for a new approach which promotes industry and the creation of jobs.
