Police seized large quantities of cannabis, £5,000 cash and a stash of high value jewellery during a raid yesterday.

Officers from Hornsey and Stroud Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team visited an address in Lightfoot Road, Hornsey, as part of the Metropolitan Police’s London-wide crackdown on drugs.

They seized 2.5kg of a substance thought to be cannabis, £5,000 cash and a large amount of jewellery which is thought to be worth thousands of pounds.

During the raid Special Constable Sabrina Moxom, who only qualified a month ago, made her first arrest.

MSC Moxom volunteers for Hornsey Safer Neighbourhoods in her spare time.

She also has a job in retail and is studying criminology at university.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

He is being questioned at a north London police station.
