Consultation launched over proposed closure of John Loughborough School
10:55am Wednesday 3rd October 2012 in News By Bruce Thain
People are being called to put forward their views on the proposed closure of a school.
John Loughborough Seventh-day Adventist School, in Holcombe Road, Tottenham has been earmarked for closure following a review by Haringey Council.
Last month the council announced plans to close the school after concluding it did not meet the required educational standards and has not done so for some time.
People are being called to take part in the consultation and give their views on the plans.
A final decision over the closure of the school will be taken when the consultation has finished on November 19 and all responses have been reviewed.
A public meeting about the proposal will take place on Monday, October 22, at 7pm, at the school and will be a chance for people to talk to council officers about the proposed closure.
Those wanting to take part in the consultation can do so by visiting www.haringey.gov.uk/jls.
