A prolific pickpocket targeted passengers on public transport has been jailed for five and a half months.
Yordanka Georgieva, 40, of Turnpike Lane, was sentenced at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on October 2.
She pleaded guilty to offences in Edgware, Southwark, Manor House and Holloway.
Georgieva was caught after a police officer spotted her walking through Camden on September 5.
The officer recognized her from her photograph as one of his squad’s most wanted so began to follow her.
He noticed she was equipped with the usual pickpocket tools, such as an empty shoulder bag, and she was looking around for potential victims.
She was known to target bus passengers so when she attempted to board a bus the officer arrested her.
She was taken to Islington Police Station and charged with four counts of theft.
