Man arrested in connection with the murder of Pelivan Zekaj in Wood Green

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Pelivan Zekaj who was stabbed to death at a fast food restaurant.

The 19-year-old man was arrested at a north London address yesterday evening and was taken to a police station where he remains in custody.

Mr Zekaj was stabbed in Burger King in the Wood Green Shopping Centre, in High Road, while on a trip to the cinema with friends on Thursday October 4.

Police were called to the centre following reports of disturbance involving a number of people.

The 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem carried out on Friday gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

Police are still calling on anyone with any information which will help the murder investigation to get in contact.
