Police raided properties across north London this morning as part of an operation to tackle the supply of class A drugs in Haringey.

Officers from Haringey carried out dawn raids at addresses in the borough as well as Enfield, Islington, Camden, Colindale and Southwark.

They arrested six men and one woman and seized a handgun, drugs believed to be cocaine and cannabis, and a large amount of cash.

The raids were part of an operation which has identified several members of a gang believed to be responsible for supplying class A drugs to other gangs in Haringey.

The operation is led by police in Haringey and officers hope the morning raids will send a clear message to those involved in drugs supply they will use all means necessary to disrupt and dismantle organised criminal activity.
