Stallholders are being given the chance to help design a new market hall which is being constructed as part of a major development.
Traders at the Wards Corner Market, in Seven Sisters, will have the chance to work with a market specialist who will help with the temporary relocation of their businesses.
Stallholders will have to move as work is carried out on the Seven Sisters regeneration project which will see a new market hall, retail space and homes built by developer Grainger.
Quarterbridge Project Management has been appointed by Grainer and Haringey Council help make the new market a success and will work with current stallholders over the layout and design of the market.
Jonathan Owen from Quarterbridge said: “The new Seven Sisters Market will have a tremendous advantage with the most prominent frontage in the development.
“We’re confident we can design a new Market Hall and stalls that suit everyone’s needs and improve sales turnover.
“Fundamental to making the new market a success is to keep the businesses trading whilst the redevelopment takes place.
“In the long term the important thing is to retain the variety of uses which makes the Market so popular with the public.”
