New care housing scheme for Tottenham announced

A scheme which will provide more care housing for older and disabled people has been announced.

There will be a new build on the site of Protheroe House, in Chesnut Road, after Haringey Borough Council announced it would sell the site to One Housing Group.

On the site, the group will develop a 49 unit building with which will provide housing for older and disabled people over the age of 50 in the Tottenham Area.

One Housing were chosen by the council following an assessment, interview and evaluation process and for their awareness of the Tottenham regeneration.

The council hop the project will over people good housing which will enable independence, improved quality of life, choice and control.
