POLICE seized a suspected dangerous dog in a raid on a house in Tottenham.
Officers from Bruce Grove Safer Neighbourhood Team are leading efforts to tackle the rising problems of dangerous and irresponsible dog ownership in Haringey.
Their latest effort, on Tuesday, June 28, was a bust on a house in Tottenham where a suspected pitbull type was seized along with 27 bags of cannabis.
A 23-year-old man was arrested during the raid on suspicion of possessing a banned animal and possession of class B drugs, and bailed until next month pending further investigations.
The police team is the first in the borough to designate problems with dogs as a ward priority, and have seized 13 dogs since January.
Aside from raids and seizure, officers will be in Lordship Rec on Sunday, July 3 between midday and 4pm to offer advice on responsible dog ownership and protecting your pet.
