A restaurant in Chiswick has added a bit of bounce to its menu with its new frogs’ leg pizza.
Called the Hopper, the pizza comes with a traditional tomato and mozzarella base, with a scoop of anchovy sorbet, which melts into the pizza as you nibble around each leg.
The pizza is the brainchild of Sami Wasif, owner of the Eco restaurant, in Chiswick High Road, who was inspired by a recent holiday to France.
Mr Wasif said: “I’ve been making pizza for more than 20 years in London and know this is a city that is always looking for something new.
“A recent trip to Paris gave me the idea and we have a lot of regular French customers so I thought I’d do something for them.
“Pizza is one of those things that you can experiment with....who knows, I might try one with snails on it next.”
