The Trade Union and Socialist Coalition has announced its Tottenham candidate in the General Election.
Jenny Sutton, the chairman of University and College Union, will stand for election in Tottenham against incumbent Labour MP David Lammy, Liberal Democrat candidate Turhan Ozen, Tory Stefan Mrozinski, Green Party Candidate Dee Searle and Tariq Saeed of UKIP.
TUSC was formed in 2010 by the late Bob Crow, general secretary of the RMT, alongside other leading trade unionists and socialists to provide an anti-cuts alternative to all the main parties at elections.
Ms Sutton has been a vocal opponent of recent cuts to public services made by the Labour-run council.
