Four officers injured in Kingsbury, one man arrested

At approx. 08:40hrs on Saturday 19 November officers were called following reports of a man causing a disturbance in the street on Kingsbury Road, Harrow.

Officers attempted to speak with the man before he ran into a local butcher's shop and grabbed a knife. Officers followed the man in an attempt to detain him and were subsequently assaulted.

Four male police constables suffered stab injuries during the incident and have been taken by the London Ambulance Service to hospital.

[1] sustained a stab wound to the stomach; [2] sustained head injuries and a stab wound to the arm; [3] sustained a stab wound to the leg and [4] sustained a broken hand.

A 32-year old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.
