AN ACTOR training to kayak across the channel for a leading children's charity got to flex his pecs at a fundraising evening in Beckenham.
Yao Chin, from Catford, took part in gym activities at Beckenham Spa, in Beckenham Road, for the launch evening of his fundraising challenge.
The 28-year-old, whose most recent TV appearance was in Casualty, plans to raise more than £20,000 for UNICEF by crossing the English channel solo in a sea kayak next year.
As well as special aerobics and gym activities, the launch event included a buffet, bar and a disco-funk DJ.
More than £500 was raised from the event, so Yao only has £19,500 to go!
