School wins travel award
Pupils were awarded for their school travel plans which got more parents to walk or cycle to school with their children.
Bounds Green School, in Bounds Green Road, was given a Silver Award for School Travel Plans from Transport for London (TfL).
Faye Papini from the school led the project which aimed to find ways families could safely get their children to school without using a car.
During the last year Bounds Green has worked with Haringey Borough Council’s Smarter Travel Team to organise road safety activities for pupils.
Every school in the borough has been called on to come up with a school travel plan to encourage walking and cycling to school.
