Engineering graduate awarded for school project
A graduate has been awarded for her education project encouraging pupils to consider a career in engineering.
Dimple Rana, 27, worked with pupils from Fortismere School, in Tetherdown, Muswell Hill, as part of an education scheme promoting engineering.
Miss Rana received her award from at the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)Ambassador Awards from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), at a ceremony held in George Street, Westminster.
She said: “I am pleased to be able to work with ICE London to share my enthusiasm for engineering with young people as they make their career choices.
“I hope that as my own career progresses I will find myself working alongside some of the students who worked with me on these STEM projects and were inspired to also choose engineering as their career.”
As part of the scheme Miss Rana and groups op pupils would tackle engineering projects involving of problem solving and designing a temporary wind shield.
