Boxing Day strike to severely disrupt Tube lines across capital
12:13pm Monday 24th December 2012 in News
By Natalie O'Neill
Boxing Day underground passengers will be hit by severe disruption as Tube drivers stage a walkout over bank holiday pay.
Some members of the ASLEF union will strike on Wednesday December 26, affecting Tube services across the capital including the Victoria and Piccadilly Lines.
The Victoria Line will only run between Seven Sisters and Victoria at a reduced frequency from approximately 8.45am.
There will be no Piccadilly Line service through the central area. A limited shuttle service will operate between Acton Town and Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and between Arnos Grove and Cockfosters.
There will be no London Overground services.
Transport for London has urged commuters to check for updates before they travel as services could change on the day.
