A fire spanning an area the size of two football pitches broke out in Tottenham marshes.
More than 30 firefighters were called to the incident in Glover Drive, Upper Edmonton, at approximately 3.18pm to reports of a fire.
The blaze covered an area spanning two hectares and six fire engines were called to the scene.
The fire was under control by 5.03pm
Station manager Nick Harding, who was at the scene, said:"The combination of the dry weather, the thick undergrowth and the long grass meant that this fire had the potential to spread quickly, however crews worked quickly to bring it under control and stop it spreading any further."
