A ‘Question Time’ style panel will be part of the official unveiling of a 20-year plan for Tottenham tomorrow.

The council will launch its strategic regeneration framework, which sets out redevelopment of the area, at Tottenham Town Hall.

There will be an exhibition and ‘pop-up’ market stalls from 4pm, followed by a film screening by young people at 6pm, with the ‘Question Time’ beginning at 6.30pm.

People will be able to submit their questions to a panel, who have not yet been named, in the style of the BBC show chaired by David Dimbleby in which audience members quiz a panel of politicians.

Councillor Alan Strickland, cabinet member for regeneration and housing, said: “The launch event is our chance to say thank you to the thousands of local people who shared their ideas for Tottenham’s future.

“It’s also an opportunity for local people to get involved with driving improvements forward.

“Through the workshops, film screening, market and exhibitions, Wednesday’s launch will showcase the best of what Tottenham has to offer and be a chance for the entire community to share in its future.”

The five-month Tottenham’s Future consultation, which ended in February, saw more than 3,700 people sharing their ambitions through feedback forms, pop-up events, exhibitions and a dedicated website.
