Students face an agonising wait this morning as they find out the exam results that could shape the rest of their lives.

Many 18-year-olds across Barnet will find out whether they have been accepted to their chosen universities, colleges or career paths.

They have spent the last two years working towards the A-level exams in three or four chosen subjects, which they sat between April and June.
