A teenager was stabbed as hundreds of people descended on Finsbury Park for an illegal rave last night.

Police were called when the party, advertised on Twitter, descended into chaos in the early hours of this morning, with crowds spilling out onto Seven Sisters Road.

A 19-year-old was found in nearby Moray Road with a stab wound in the leg and a police officer was taken to hospital with cuts to the face.

Police confirmed that the teenage victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being slashed in the thigh.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called at 12.05am on Thursday, 21 August, following reports of a large gathering of people in Finsbury Park.

“Officers, including the air support unit and territorial support group, attended.

“While in the area, officers responded to a fight nearby and a number of items were thrown towards them.
