Keen young readers celebrated completing a reading challenge.
Children taking part in the council’s summer reading challenge were given medals and certificates at Wood Green children’s library last Monday.
Councillor Jason Arthur, cabinet member for resources and culture, presented the awards with Councillor Adam Jogee.
The reading challenge, aimed at primary school children, was launched in Hornsey library by illustrator Jackie Morris in July and followed a 'mystical maze' theme.
Young readers were set the task of reading six books by the end of summer.
Cllr Arthur said: “It was fantastic to see so many children completing the challenge this summer.
"But you don’t need to take part in a challenge to enjoy the vast range of books on offer at our borough’s libraries and I hope these youngsters will be back for more."
