A charity worker has been commended for her work in the community.

Catherine Pymar , from Tottenham, was awarded the Central London Community Healthcare trophy for ‘Partner Award’ at the NHS Trust’s staff awards, held at Church House Conference Centre in Westminster earlier this week.

The award recognised her work with older patients at the charity Open Age, praising her support to help boost their mood and confidence.

She said: “It was really exciting and great to see both mine and the charity’s work recognised by CLCH.

“The most rewarding part of the job is to be able to see the difference that you’re making to other people’s lives – it’s wonderful.”

The annual awards recognise the contribution of healthcare staff who help to improve the lives of almost one million people in London.

James Reilly, CLCH Chief Executive, said: "We were both humbled and proud to hear the story of Catherine working with such commitment to delivering a quality service, demonstrating the best of the NHS at CLCH."
