Traders who want a free spot at the centre of a festive market next month have just one week left to apply.

The Tottenham Winter Festival, on Saturday, December 6, will see Tottenham Green abuzz with family-friendly entertainment, live music and stalls selling crafts, food and drink.

The centrepiece of the event will be a giant snow dome, giving families the chance to experience their own winter wonderland before a mystery guest flicks the switch on Tottenham’s Christmas lights at 5pm.

Last year’s winter market showcased the variety of independent traders in Tottenham, with live entertainment entertaining scores of visitors.

Councillor Alan Strickland, cabinet member for regeneration and housing, said: “It’s always the highlight of the festive season to see Tottenham Green packed full of local people as the Christmas lights are switched on.

“We want our market to showcase the best of Tottenham’s independent traders and encourage more people to realise the wealth of quality businesses right here on their doorstep.”

Applications for stalls need to be submitted to Haringey Council by 9am on Friday, 21 November.
