A mental health charity has launched a new service for teenagers thanks to a “staggering” donation from a  pub.

Haringey Mind will run a new drop-in clinic for young people after receiving more than £2,000 from the Clissold Arms in Muswell Hill.

Lesley-Anne Holder, young persons adviser at Mind, said the charity was “ecstatic”.

She said: “Obviously we wanted to run this service and we’re absolutely chuffed and overwhelmed at this donation. We’re quite blown away.”

The new service will offer teenagers aged between 12 and 18 the chance to get confidential advice from the charity’s youth advisor.

The sessions, which are free, will run every Wednesday between 3pm and 6pm in the Clissold Arms, Muswell Hill.
