The death of a vulnerable adult in Haringey has prompted a review of care procedures.
The man from Islington was placed in a private care facility in Haringey by Islington Council and was allegedly left to eat unsupervised, despite being at risk from choking.
His death by suffocation in 2011 prompted a serious case review which concluded last year.
A statement from Haringey Council said: “Following this serious case review we have worked with our partners in Islington and Camden to ensure that all care staff are aware of best practice and offered additional training to reduce the risk of choking.”
