Police have launched an appeal to identify an injured man found with burns to his body..

Officers were called at 11.05pm to Woodberry Grove, Manor House close to the junction with Seven Sisters Road, where they found a man with burns to his torso and neck.

The man, believed to be aged between 25 and 30, was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a north London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The cause of the injuries is unexplained at this stage and officers are unable to identify the man.

He is described as 5ft 11ins tall with short brown hair.

He was wearing jeans and black trainers but no shirt when he was found and speaks very little English. Police believe he may possibly be Turkish or Albanian.

Officers would also like to speak with a person who is believed to have spoken with the man on Seven Sisters Road opposite the junction with Amhurst Park and then left in the direction of Woodberry Grove.
