A 25-year-old who threatened a man with a screwdriver, attacked a taxi driver and stole from hotel rooms has been jailed.

Alan Denny, of Fladbury Road, Tottenham, was sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to a number of crimes at Wood Green Crown Court in March.

He robbed a 47-year-old taxi driver in Fladbury Road on July 26, 2013 at 6am, before stealing his jacket which contained money.

Denny also threatened a 35-year-old man with a screwdriver outside the Jolly Angler pub in Brabant Road, Wood Green, on October 31, 2014 at 11.40pm. He stole the man’s car and other personal items.

He also threatened a woman with a knife in a flat in West London, stole from rooms at Alton Towers theme park, in Staffordshire, between June 30 and June 2 and failed to comply with requirements of the Sex Offenders Register.

He was also jailed for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance.
