Six men have been bailed after being arrested in connection with the Wood Green shooting.

The men, one aged 25, and two 16, were arrested along with three women for conspiracy to murder at Gatwick Airport and have now been bailed to dates in mid-September.

Erdogan Guzel, a 42 year-old father of two, was shot dead in Lordship Lane, Wood Green, last Friday.

A 51 year-old woman was also shot and remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Three other men, aged 55, 23 and 26 from Hornsey were also bailed until a date in mid-September.

DCI Tim Duffield said: "The investigation is moving at a fast pace and whilst exact details of what happened remain to be established, what is clear is that two innocent bystanders have been caught up in a violent dispute between other people.

"I would like to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who has information and has not yet come forward and spoken to the police to do so.

"I believe there are people out there who know who is responsible for this terrible crime and I appeal to them to consider how they would feel if their loved one was killed or seriously injured whilst going about their business.

"I would like to reassure anyone concerned about contacting the police that they will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and there are measures that can be taken to protect you."
