A samurai-wielding man wearing a hockey-style mask has pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon.
Abdullahi Hassan Abdullahi, 21, of Elthorne Road, was found on Friday, August 7, on Hornsey Road, wearing the mask and carrying a large bag.
He was cahsed by officers when he was arrested and a samurai sword found nearby.
He pleaded guitly at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court, on Saturday, August 8.
He will be sentenced on Tuesday, September 1.
Detective Inspector Rita Tierney from Islington CID said: "We will not tolerate this type of behaviour and being caught in possession of a knife is likely to leave you with a criminal record and the possibility that you could end up behind bars. We are committed to tackling knife crime and keeping Londoners’ safe."
