The 57-year-old former antique toy dealer drives a bus for the elderly in Enfield, has lived in Haringey all his life, and has always been interested in local politics. He said: "Climate change is a serious issue, and I don't think the big three are doing enough to deal with it. Compared with Europe, we're at least 20 years behind. But we're not a single-issue party. We want to fight the introduction of polyclinics and reduction of other vital public services, like post offices. I'm all for centres with modern facilities and equipment, but they cannot replace local surgeries. And post offices cannot be treated like businesses."
