A commemoration of World Aids Day took place in Wood Green this week.
Two HIV awareness groups Positive Rainbow and Speaking for Ourselves, based in Haringey, released balloons outside Wood Green Library on the High Road on Monday.
Haringey's mayor Alan Dobbie will be attended and lit candles for a minute's silence.
Alan Tabby from Speaking for ourselves said: “It is important that events such as these, marking World Aids Day here in Wood Green bring people from diverse backgrounds together to raise awareness of HIV in an international, national and perhaps, most effectively, in a local context.”
A spokesperson from Positive Rainbow added: “We have organised this event with purely voluntary support. Hopefully, every year it gets bigger and better.”
