AN "unbearable" young woman who battered, robbed and verbally abused her neighbours has had her home repossessed and is banned from returning to a Hornsey housing estate.

Nikita Broderick, 20, also known as "Bradeesha", terrified neighbours on the Campsbourne Estate with her aggressive behaviour which culminated in her attacking a male neighbour who suffered broken ribs, a broken shoulder and a gash to his head.

Broderick also robbed and attacked a minor and tortured the people she lived with in Campsfield House by playing loud music, attracting unsavoury characters who would linger in the communal hallway smoking weed and boozing.

Residents were petrified of leaving their homes. Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet member for enforcement and safer communities, said: "This woman made the lives of other residents unbearable.

"I'm delighted we were able to help them deal with this problem. The residents were particularly helpful as they reported matters to the Antisocial Behaviour Action Team as soon as they occurred, provided statements in confidence and were not discouraged or intimidated.

"They were also very patient as problems like this can't be resolved overnight."

Cllr Canver also thanked the police who "acted quickly" following the assault on the neighbour who had to be be rehoused in a different following his ordeal and for fear he was in danger.

The eviction follows a string of written warnings and a number of failed attempts to meet with Broderick to discourage her bad behaviour.

Broderick was eventually arrested and jailed for her violent attacks. Her home was repossessed and she was evicted on January 28, 2010.

An injunction banning her from the estate has also been granted.
