UNEMPLOYED Haringey residents living in temporary accommodation can boost their chances of gaining employment through a new job skills clinic.
Jobseekers on Haringey Council's social housing register can drop in to the weekly clinic every Wednesday between 1pm and 4.30pm to learn skills and improve their confidence to help them in job interviews.
Pariticpants will be ensured job interviews with employers including the council and NHS Haringey as part of the Haringey Guarantee.
The initiative is a council-run employment scheme designed to help residents find suitable jobs.
Councillor John Bevan, cabinet member for housing, said: "The Guarantee scheme has proved to be very popular.
"This new surgery will make it easier for people in temporary accommodation to use the service."
Surgeries will be held at the Housing Advice and Options Appointment Centre at Apex House, in Seven Sisters Road, next to Seven Sisters Tube station.
Those interested can either drop in or make an appointment.
Others will be referred by other council departments.
